The Zugerland shopping center was opened on 28 September 1979 in the Zug municipality of Steinhausen. Over 20 stores offered their products and services on 6000 m² of retail space.
After 26 years, the new shopping center was bursting at the seams. During this time, Zugerland had blossomed into a supra-regional shopping center. After a long period of renovation, the reopening was celebrated in September 2005 with 45 stores on over 22,000 m2 of retail space.
Today, in addition to the largest Migros supermarket in Central Switzerland, 50 other stores present their offerings.
